PhD position
The candidate will be expected to work on topics related to the project "Smooth dynamics via Operators, with Singularities" including application of transfer operator methods to hyperbolic systems with low regularity and linear or fractional response.
The PhD student will benefit from the very stimulating scientific
environment of
Laboratoire de Probabilités, Statistique et Modélisation in Jussieu, Paris
The successful candidate should have a MSc in mathematics or mathematical physics, expertise in ergodic theory and dynamical systems, and interest in working with functional analytic methods.
Keywords:
Ruelle resonances/transfer operators/hyperbolic dynamics/billiards/ linear response/susceptibility function/ergodic theory
The position is available from September 1, 2020 for 36 months.
